Vinvolved Team
The Vinvolved Team look to support young people aged from 16 (Year 11) – 25 find volunteering opportunities based on their own interests, skills and needs.  The team find placements that are safe, engaging and challenging in a variety of places and with a variety of contexts.  The Vinvolved team also work hard to raise the profile of volunteering amongst young people and outside agencies.  For more details contact Karen / Poppy on 01202 467000.

You can choose to Participate in a wide range of volunteer work, including: 

·         Youth Work & Childcare;

·         Conservation;

·         Arts & Media;

·         Music;

·         Organising Events & Fundraising;

·         Sports;

·         Support Services;

·         Office Based Work.

What Certificates can I gain through Vinvolved?

·         V Taster;

·         V50 : 50 Hours of Volunteering;

·         VIMPACT: 100 Hours of Volunteering - WORTH HALF A GCSE!

These certificates are great to put in your CV and serve as a great reminder of how you made a positive contribution difference to your community!

When can I Volunteer?

·         One off taster days;

·         Part time;

·         Full Time.

Specific times can be discussed upon arrival.

If you have an idea for a project which benefits the community but are not sure how to move it forward, then V can support you to make your ideas a reality!

The youth action teams' main aim is to make volunteering appealing and fun for young people and change the face of Volunteering. Their focus is on creating a youth LED approach to vinvolved and encouraging people who would never have thought of volunteering to do a favour for the community.

My name is Christine and I currently volunteer for Dorset Wildlife Trust. Not only is it fun, engaging, good exercise and interesting; I also learn so much about wildlife and meeting new people and making friends.

I began volunteering for The Trust in 2005 and have had a great time. Volunteering has definitely improved my confidence and I feel I am now more experienced at dealing with different types of people from young to old, special needs and employees.

Living in Bournemouth all my life, I have been open to many volunteering activities and chances to help out in the local community.  I have always been interested in helping people, and started doing so in my secondary school (Oakmead College of Technology). 

Volunteering with Streetwise an interactive safety centre, CSV Make a Difference Day and Citizenship classes helping youngsters with maths really grounded my experiences of making an impact.
